A few notes here.
I have a high view of the Old and New Testaments as assembled by either the Catholic, Orthodox or Protestant Churches (but not the Morman additions).
Salvation?:
"This is eternal (eonian) life: that they may know Thee - the only true God - and Jesus Messiah whom Thou hast sent."
So ... is a belief that all the Scriptures are accurate, literal and inspired by God required that we be "saved" in Christ Jesus? No. While we must have high respect for the Scriptures so that we are certain that we are receiving an honest and reasonably accurate account, the belief that every single word is perfectly accurate is an unnecessary assumption. How is anyone really going to have a opinion about "every" or "all" the Scriptures until one has had years to study and think? Yet, faith in Jesus Christ may be obtained within a few minutes ... as shown by the story of the man being crucified alongside Jesus who became saved right then and there ... without any scholarship at all.
